Passport Details:
Vivian Shin Yuan Lee has been a Toastmaster since October 2005, after
entering the work force upon graduating from the University of Guelph.
Vivian discovered Toastmasters while searching for the self-confidence
she had lost and for the continuity of leadership opportunities. In
her first 15 months, Vivian achieved her Advanced Communicator Bronze and
Advanced Leader Bronze, while serving as Vice President Education of
Hershaw Toastmasters.
In May 2007, Vivian moved to greener pastures in Edmonton to pursue her
Masters degree in Food Microbiology and Probiotics at the University
of Alberta. Edmonton also proved to be greener pastures for Toastmasters,
where Vivian became the Assistant Area F17 Governor shortly after settling
into Funspeakers Toastmasters club. Becoming an Assistant Area Governor
has opened the door to opportunities for her including networking with
other Toastmasters, a High Performance Leadership project, coaching University
Toastmasters, joining City Lights, and joining Emma Collins Advanced
Toastmasters club. After almost a full term as an Assistant Area Governor
in District 42, Vivian now feels prepared for and inspired to become
an Area Governor
