Get on board with communication, holding contests, club visits, organizing COT
and holding Area and Division Council meetings! Helping clubs succeed is the
focus of the Area and Division Governors. Your journey through this amazing
session will guide you to the rewards of taking on the role of Area Governor
or Division Governor as you tour resources that will enable you to make a
difference for your training and earning your DTM!

Bev Swan, a Toastmaster since May 1992, arrived with her family in Calgary
on January 5, 1982. Bev has served as District 42 Librarian for 3 years,
first Area 49 Governor, first assistant Division J Governor, and third
Division J Governor. She continues her firsts in Toastmasters by being
a member of
three Toastmaster Clubs, which she thought she would never achieve. She
is
presently working on her second DTM, which includes undertaking a great
adventure as the Club Coach for Westhills, Club # 59899.
Grant Hanna, a Toastmaster since 1975, and an Accountant by profession,
Area 50 Governor belongs to Chinook Toastmasters club #1448. Grant joined
Regina’s District 42 in November 1975, and has participated in clubs
in Regina, Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Calgary. Grant has been involved
at the club
level in education, membership and served as President. He has accepted
the role of Area Governor three times, of Division Governor three times,
and was
the Presenter at the North America Software User Conferences.
